EF lens wallpapers
In celebration of producing over 30 million lenses from 1987 till 2006, Canon has posted four EF lens wallpapers available in various dimensions to fit today's popular desktop resolutions.

EOS 5D firmware v1.1.0
The firmware update enhances direct printing features, corrects communication problems between the camera and EOS Capture software and finally corrects the phenomenon in which the flash mode settings are changed from E-TTL to M (Manual) when the camera is used in combination with ST-E2 and the 580EX.

StudioLighting.net photo contest
A portrait photo contest running until July 15th 2006 is open as the first ever StudioLighting.net competition, offering valuable ShootSmarter training DVDs as prizes. A special Flickr group is used to simplify the photo submission process (which also helps you to see other entries) but there are alternative ways to submit the photo too - just check the contest page.

Bibble Labs Releases version 4.8 of their workflow software
The popular RAW converter for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux now features a B&W / Spot Plugin and Advanced Lens Correction; This means it can now correct barrel and pin-cushion distortions, vignetting and chromatic aberations.

Adobe Lightroom Beta 3 now available
Featuring new tools like Before and After, Straighten, History, the new version also sports a dedicated Web module and tons of improvements over the beta 2. Given that it's still free, Lightroom has grown into a very competitive workflow application that definitively needs to be given a try!
