StudioLighting.net photo contest
A portrait photo contest running until July 15th 2006 is open as the first ever StudioLighting.net competition, offering valuable ShootSmarter training DVDs as prizes. A special Flickr group is used to simplify the photo submission process (which also helps you to see other entries) but there are alternative ways to submit the photo too - just check the contest page.

The Best of Photojournalism 2006
There is a contest designed by photojournalists for photojournalists over at the National Press Photographers Association, with a goal to recognize the best work being produced by publicly accessible journalism web sites. Enter before Feb 10!
